They say SHABBAT SHALOM ... so let's take a CLOSER LOOK at that those two words : let's take a dive into LINGUISTICS, one of my fave hobbies :
SHALOM is ARAMAIC for SALAAM, which is the ORIGINAL ARABIC WORD meaning PEACE.
Aramaic is THE LOCALIZED (Canaan, Nabataea / Jordan, Syria, Lebanon) VARIATION/ DIALECT of ARABIC. But Aramaic IS STILL ARABIC.
The Arabic word سَلَام (transliterated Salām or Salaam) literally means PEACE .
Linguistic Origin :
It derives from the ANCIENT ARABIC ROOT letters S‑L‑M (س‑ل‑م), a ROOT that relates to concepts of peace, safety, harmony, and wholeness.
From the same ANCIENT ARABIC ROOT come:
i-S-L-a-M (إِسْلَام) — submission to their god.
m-u-S-L-i-M (مُسْلِم) — one who submits to their god.

“Salām” / salaam" is widely used in greetings such as As‑Salāmu ʿAlaykum (ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ), meaning “Peace be upon you”, which is the traditional Islamic salutation . The customary reply is Wa‑ʿAlaykumu s‑Salām (وَعَلَيْكُمُ ٱلسَّلَام), meaning “And upon you be peace.” Whenever there is ā, it means "aa", or the same sound as two AA side by side
Thus, when you say SALāM /SALAAM, you are indeed saying “PEACE ” in Arabic—the word conveys a wish for safety, harmony, and blessing upon others.

SHABBAT is another ARAMAIC WORD. The ORIGINAL Arabic word is السبت (as‑Sabt), which literally means “Saturday” or “the day of rest”.
● Linguistic Connection :
Both Shabbat and as‑Sabt derive from the same ANCIENT ARABIC ROOT : root: ش‑ب‑ت / ש‑ב‑ת (Sh‑B‑T), meaning to CEASE or TO REST . The word thus carries the sense of cessation from work or rest, reflecting the tradition that their god “rested” on "the seventh day after creation".
● Religious Context :

So let's a look at the word HANUKKAH ... and WHY it is BULLSHIT, MYTHOLOGY, a LIE, a DECEIT, a PROPAGANDA, a NONSENSE, that is IT NEVER HAPPENED, because it was a MADE-UP COOKED-UP FICTITIOUS IMAGINED CONCOCTED MYTHOLOGICAL INVENTION of the rabbis.
The historical evidence indicates that Hanukkah’s roots lie in a real 2nd-century BC kikels' revolt, though many of its later religious and miracle stories were EMBELLISHED BY RABBIS / rabbinic tradition HUNDREDS OF YEARS AFTERWARD.
There is no credible scholarly evidence that the revolt or the temple re-dedication were fabricated ... in other word, the revolt / rebellionby the MACCABEES was 💯% real & historical.
But there is CLEAR CONSENSUS that ALL OF Hanukkah’s RELIGIOUS MYTHOLOGY —especially the “miracle of the oil”—was a later invention BY THE FUCKING VERMIN RABBIS.
● Historical Basis of Hanukkah :
Hanukkah commemorates REAL HISTORICAL EVENTS during the Maccabean Revolt (167–160 BCE), when an ANCIENT FAMILY OF KIKEL RABBIS called THE MACCABEES, rebels led by Mattathias (Arabic-Aramaic: MATITYAHU) and his son Judah Maccabee (Arabic-Aramaic : YEHOODA / YEHUDA MAKKABAH / MAKKABI / MAQQABAH), fought against the SELEUCID EMPIRE ruler Antiochus IV Epiphanes, who had desecrated the kikels second temple and outlawed kikel mythological practices ... he attempted to FORCEFULLY CONVERT ALL KIKELS IN THE PROVINCE OF PALESTINE of the SELEUCID EMPIRE into GREEK MYTHOLOGY instead.

Contemporary and near-contemporary sources like 1 and 2 Maccabees (chapters / books in the Old Testicle), written in Greek around 100 BC, describe the rededication of the 2nd temple in Jerusalem on 25 Kislev, 164 BC, after its purification, following Seleucid defeat by the kikels rebels and the desecration of the temple by Seleucid army.
● Propaganda and Revisionism :

It appears only in the Talmud (Shabbat 21b), compiled centuries later (around the 6th century CE), by rabbis, when RABBIS RE-INTERPRETED THE FESTIVAL WITH THEIR MYTHOLOGICAL / THEOLOGICAL SYMBOLISM.
2nd and 1st century BC rabbinic sources hardly mention Hanukkah at all, suggesting its religious meaning EVOLVED LONG AFTER the political victory it originally celebrated.
● Scholarly View: A Real Revolt, Mythic Ornamentation :
Critical scholarship agrees that Hanukkah’s core historical event—the Maccabean Revolt and Temple rededication—did happen, based on Hellenistic and Roman and kikel sources, archaeological findings, and Seleucid-era inscriptions.
However, the MIRACLE NARRATIVE and THEOLOGICAL FRAMING were later RABBINIC CREATIONS, intended to SHIFT FOCUS FROM MILITARY TO DIVINE PROVIDENCE .
