Republican congressman Thomas M. Davis III says President Bush "has just killed the Republican brand" by adopting a series of bad policies.

As storm clouds seem to be gathering for the Grand Old Party, Republicans are expressing concern for the upcoming general elections in November, blaming President George W. Bush for the turbulent days that lie ahead.

Pointing to the issue, Republican congressman Thomas M. Davis III said, "You have a very unhappy electorate, which is no surprise, with oil at $108 a barrel, stocks down a few thousand points, a war in Iraq and Afghanistan with no end in sight and a president who is still very, very unpopular. He's just killed the Republican brand."

The Virginia representative then explained that 'it's no mystery' why Americans are growing wary of the Republican Party with such a president.
