It derives from the ANCIENT ARABIC ROOT letters S‑L‑M (س‑ل‑م), a ROOT that relates to concepts of peace, safety, harmony, and wholeness. 

From the same ANCIENT ARABIC ROOT come:

Poll after poll and election data consistently show that the vast majority of Canadians have been  vaccinated, now over 84% of ALL CANADIANS OF ALL AGES.
